I love a good diner and this one checked all the boxes. Great waitresses working hard and getting orders out fast, all while calling you sweetie. They even still take orders by hand and crunch customer’s totals out on large calculators. I loved it. The food was alright. I loved the hash brown casserole, but wish had some crunch. I got the #3 country breakfast that comes with 3 eggs, 2 buttermilk pancakes, and your choice of breakfast meat. For $10.99 I thought that was a steal! Anyways, I’ll be back!
We came for a late breakfast on a weekday. The food was tasty, the service was awesome and the atmosphere relaxed. I had the ultimate breakfast burrito and took a little less than half home for the next day. Hubby had biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage. He loved it all. We returned again a couple of days later to get food. Hubby had the French toast and was very happy with it. I had a Philly steak sandwich. It was delicious. I had to stop eating the bread so I could finish the fries and the steak. The service both days was fantastic. They refilled our drinks, brought extra napkins without our asking for them, and asked if we needed anything several times.
West Side Cafe is always so good. I'd only had breakfast there before. Breakfast there is pretty great. The menu has so much great home cooking type food. They have meatloaf, pork chops and chicken fried steak and more.They even have chicken and dumplings. That was very tempting, but I just had to have some chicken fried steak. It came with two sides. I chose green beans and fried okra. Everything was perfect. The wait staff was very attentive and super-friendly.
Wow! Great food, great service. Atmosphere was what one would expect for a diner. Very busy, but the service was fast and excellent.
Can you say A1 service and food! I wish there were more stars that I can rate them at. When we came in we were immediately greeted. They sat us down and was very nice. The food came so fast and it was hot and looked and smelled good. The entire staff was so friendly. We also noticed how quickly they they clean tables when someone is leaving. Jordyn was our server and went above and beyond with excellent service. I gave hefty tip! You must try this place if you’re ever close to Fort Worth. You will not be disappointed.
Heard about this place before and wish I had come here sooner. The food was good, the service was amazingly excellent. We came here for a late lunch and it was packed! Will definitely get back to try their dessert, chicken fried steak, liver and meatloaf as recommended. Texas, 11/2023
I am speechless! From the time we entered the atmosphere was screaming this is the place to be. It was 32• outside and inside was warm as the comfort of your home. The greeter was AWESOME . The server was absolutely AMAZING. The person who cleared the table was not only attentive, as soon as we were finished with a plate it was cleared from the table expeditiously,he was FANTASTIC. Now the food is in a class all by itself….. the food was IMMACULATE. My palate was satisfied beyond measure. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly it felt as if we went to breakfast at grandma’s house. Thank you.
Best home cooking country style food in town! Hands Down! I've never given a 5 ???? review all the way down the chart BUT the restaurant and the staff truly deserve it. Chicken Fried steak is to die for❤️ & the flavor of the mozzarella sticks is amazing. I recommend if you have not tried this place, get out here to Camp Bowie W in Fort Worth and give them a try. Worth every $ spent. Don't leave without trying the delicious desserts. There are plenty of different pies to try from. Sorry about the picture. We were too busy indulging in the taste that I forgot to post before eating.????
